There are two main account types in Kualia: Depository and Debt.
Kualia offers a very intuitive and simple approach to account types: the account either has a positive balance or a negative balance. Accounts that typically have a positive balance (checking accounts, savings accounts, cash on hand, etc.) will use the Depository account type.
Accounts that typically have a negative balance (credit cards, debts, etc.) will use the Debt account type. Debt account types do not impact the available balance you can budget from, but will impact the Net Worth value shown on the Accounts page.
