βž•Assigning Money to Individual Categories

Assigning money to a category works like placing physical cash into a real envelope. When you receive your paycheck, the Ready to Assign (Assignable Balance) at the top of the screen will increase. These Assignable funds can then be used to Fund your categories.

To assign money to a category, head to the Budget page, select the category you want to Fund, and enter the amount you wish to allocate. The amount you enter will be deducted from your Assignable balance. If your Assignable balance turns negative, it means you’ve over assigned funds. To resolve this, adjust by removing money from another category with available funds until the overassignment is corrected.

Manually assigning funds to each category one by one can become time-consuming. To save time and allocate the rest of your Assignable balance efficiently, use the Quick Assign feature.
